A police probe is underway after a man tried to drive a car into a crowd of people outside a mosque in Paris.

The man was arrested after the failed attempt to plough into pedestrians outside the place of worship in the suburb of Creteil on Thursday, authorities said.

The suspect did not succeed in reaching the crowd because of barriers in front of the mosque and no one was injured.

Some reports in France also suggested the man was blocked by heroic drivers who created a barricade with their vehicles.

A red Renault Clio with a dent in the back was seen outside the mosque in the aftermath, although is it unclear if it was connected with the attack.

The man claimed said he wanted to avenge attacks linked to Islamic State that have killed dozens in Paris over the past years, according to Le Parisien newspaper.

Last week, a man drove a van at Muslim worshippers leaving a mosque in London.

He was charged with terrorism-related murder and attempted murder.

bad people are in every where no matter the difference of their religion. so do not try to kill an innocent person no matter the religion he has. if you want revenge then do it to the person who did it not even to his blood brother do it to exactly who did it.
