Your Irises Are Unique To You
Your eyes may be more identifiable than your fingerprints. Iris scanners use mathematical pattern recognition to search for characteristics such as furrows, freckles, rings, and pigmentation in the iris. Because of these markers, irises are about six times more "unique" than fingerprints. Scientists are currently developing scanners that can work at long ranges to identify people by their irises, and law enforcement agencies have built ID databases of irises as well.
