In 2002, a study conducted by the University of Massachusetts found that people lie far more often than they realize. In fact, when asked to have a 10-minute conversation with someone, around 60% of more than 100 undergraduate students told an average of two to three lies. They weren't entirely cognizant of doing so, and often expressed surprise when they spotted the lies in a tape of their talk. Of course, most of these lies were relatively harmless and probably familiar to any of us who have tried to seem likable or ease a chat along. But when you consider that 90% of children understand the concept of lying by age four, it's a slightly alarming statistic. We've collected some awesome videos on this topic.
